Supported Operating Systems

Listed below are the operating systems that are officially supported by Xyntax. Your computer or laptop must be running one of the following 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems:


Windows® 10
Windows® 8.1
Windows® 8
Windows® 7
Windows Vista® (SP2 or later)
*Xyntax supports 64-bit and 32-bit Windows varieties with the latest service pack updates from Microsoft®.

 
Important! -- Before you install Xyntax, please ensure you have the latest Microsoft updates and services packs are installed; you should check that your computer meets or exceeds the recommended system requirements.
 
Warning! -- As of April 8, 2014, Microsoft® no longer supports Windows® XP. Some features, in Xyntax, may no longer work correctly with Windows® XP. Any updates released after this date have not been fully tested for compatibility with Windows® XP. Therefore it is recommended that you upgrade to a more current operating system in order to get the full functionality out of your Xyntax system.

What about Macintosh?

We do support Xyntax running under programs like Boot Camp on Mac machines (as long as you have appropriate and current drivers for the hardware on your machine. We'd also recommend, before you Bootcamp your Mac, that you double check that your machine is capable of supporting both operating systems simultaneously; only then can you expect fast and reliable Xyntax behavior.
